Drivers Education Class - In-Person Format as of September 2025

• Per MA RMV requirements, all classroom instruction returned to an in-person format in September 2025.

• The remote/virtual option, which was introduced as an accommodation during the COVID-19 pandemic, will no longer be an option with the exception of the 2 Hour RMV Mandatory Parent/Guardian class. ​

• Equitable Access: Returning to in-person learning levels the playing field for all driving schools, including smaller community-based schools, strengthening local connections and ensuring consistent standards for everyone. 

 

This change aligns with Massachusetts Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries. It is rooted in the RMV's commitment to road safety and to giving every young driver the best possible foundation for a lifetime of safe driving.
